Featured at the entrance to the Roy H. De Boer Evergreen Garden, this series of terraces is a demonstration of drought tolerant plants.

Endowed by Josephine Nicholson in her mothers' memory, this garden features St. Johnsonswort (Hypericum 'Hidcote'), Leadplant (Amorpha canescens), New Jersey Tea (Ceanothus americanus), different species of Juniper (Juniperus), as well as Autumn Joy Stonecrop (Sedum 'Autumn Joy') and various Barberry (Berberis) plantings.
