Plant and Play

The program is 1.5 hour in length and are led by a Gardens staff member. Students will work in the greenhouse to pot up a plant or seeds to take home. Next the students will take a guided tour through Rutgers Gardens plant collections on the grounds.

Exploration Tours

Guided Tours last for approximately one hour and include a highlight of the most popular gardens on the grounds such as the Bamboo Forest and the Tribute Gardens. A Rutgers

Gardens staff member will take small groups of students (no more than 25) on an adventure through the Gardens.

Self-Guided Visits

School, camp and other children's groups are required to reregister to visit the Garden for self-guided visits of the Garden grounds during Rutgers Gardens hours of operation. Admission for children's groups is free. Please register at least two weeks in advance of the date of your visit to be sure to get the widest selection of available dates. Once your registration for a visit has been confirmed you will receive an admission pass for entry into the Garden grounds, directions, and guidelines for your group.
